Together with the P8 model, the guys from Huawei launched in London a 6.8 inch screen version smartphone! Even though rumors spoke of a P8 Lite smaller screen version, than the new flagship of the company, Huawei went in a opposite direction, and presented the new P8 Max.
Having a 6.8 inch screen, is one of the largest smartphones in the world, the screen covers 83% of the phone’s front. Display resolution isn’t though at the expected level for a phone so big – 1080p. Same as the 5.2 inch version, the P8 Max has modern, premium design, being built of a metal unibody case.
It has a thickness of 6.8mm and internal components have a complicated structure which, according to the company, makes the processor have a temperature up to 5 degrees below the rival phones. This one comes with a Kirin 935 chipset, a octa-core processor that works up to 2.2GHz. The phone has a landscape mode, just like the tablet, and offers the possibility of multitasking by dividing the screen.
P8 Max’s cam is 13MP and has optical stabilization, but it’s not clear whether it’s using the RGBW sensor from P8. It has though, the image signal processor, like the DSLR devices. Front camera has 5MP. The battery is a massive one, of 4,360 mAh.
According to the company, the phone will last up to 2 days of average use, and a day and a half of intensive use.
Huawei P8 Max smartphone will be available in 30 countries starting around May-June of 2015, and it will cost some 550 euros for the 16GB version, and 650 euros for the 64GB version.
