Smartwatches by Samsung and Apple are beautiful high end smartwatches, but not everyone is in the market for a $300-500 wrist assistant. In fact many would argue we don’t need most of the high end features that make those smartwatches so expensive……Enter MSRM. They are currently making a low-end smartwatch that interacts nicely with both Android and iOS smartphones, for just $39 at Amazon.
However don’t be fooled by the price tag on this inexpensive smartwatch. The MSRM MS08 is a sweatproof Smart Watch which has an 8G Micro SD Card. It comes with a capacitive full-color display with two very clever watch faces. It has a 1.54 inch touch screen which is simple to operate and quite smooth to the touch, along with an adjustable watch band which most will be able to adjust properly to fit their wrist.
This cheap but powerful smart watch support hands-free calls and will also answer or dial calls directly from your wrist for both Android and iOS. You can also enjoy caller ID on your MSRM smart watch if you quickly sync your smartphone’s contact information through a Bluetooth pairing option.
When it comes to bluetooth connectivity: This smartwatch supports anti-lost, phone book, Fundo, remote camera and notification push including email, basic inbound-outbound calls, Facebook and Twitter for Android.
For an iOS smartphone system, it will support music player as well as handsfree/making calls. Basic but sweet to have features of this low-end smartwatch include sedentary reminder, sleep monitor, remote camera, music player, calendar, calculator, alarm clock, web browser and video recorder.
However for an iPhone, it only supports partial functions including Pedometer, Calendar, Call Sync, Calculator, Clock, Stopwatch, Music player, Handsfree. For and Android smartphone, this smart watch will support Android versions 4.2 or higher, and for an iPhone it will support iOS 7.0 or higher, and Bluetooth 4.0 or above is fine to use here.
When you insert a micro SIM card & SD card, this smartwatch can be used to make calls, and recieve or send texts and visit websites. However the company states that this technology is relatively new, so you won’t possibly be able to compare it’s functionality to a true smartphone.
All in all though, if you want a low-end price point smartwatch, and you still want to enjoy some sweet features, and link to your Android or iOS smartphone, this is not a bad choice in the under $50 category. Many other smartwatches are Reviewed Here on our Smart Watch home page !
