For those who rely heavily on the two smartphones camera, this news could not be better.
Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, the new flagship models from Samsung, provide images at the highest level, and are among the best phones on the market regarding making photos. However, a negative aspect for photo enthusiasts, these ones lack RAW capture, which is a necessity for them.
GSM Arena announced however that this will be remedied with the release of Android 5.1.1 for the new devices! The new software will not only allow users to use all the potential of the 16MP camera with optical stabilizer, but will bring more manual control over the cam.
There should be mentioned another aspect – the RAW image capture functionality was present in S6 and S6 Galaxy edge when the two phones were launched at MWC 2015. But when the two phones have been launched on the market, the function disappeared without any explanation.
Samsung did not provide an explanation for the initial absence of RAW photo capture on the two phones, but it is clear that they will not remain behind the competition, both HTC One M9 and
having this functionality. There is no information on when Android 5.1.1 will be available, but it looks like this might happen maybe even early next month.
