The Galaxy Grand series has never set very high standards, always offering phablets designed for those who do not have the budget to get a high-end device.
Apparently the next Grand will obey the same rule according to the list of specifications that has recently been leaked on the internet.
Although Samsung has yet to announce the new Galaxy Grand 3 (SM-G7200), someone seems to be in possession of it and is running some performance tests on it. Under the same circumstances the hardware which will be included in the new phablet was revealed, as GFX Bench records all the details on tested devices.
We have noticed that Samsung continues to integrate even more efficient components in this series of devices, always keeping up to date with the technology dedicated to the mid-range section.
Compared to Grand 2, the display this gadget has is larger, with a 5.5” diagonal and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a SoC Snapdragon 410 with a quad-core processor at 1.2 GHZ and architecture on 64-bit, GPU Andreno 306 and 1.5 GB of RAM memory. The internal storage is 16 GB and the photo cameras have 13 and respectively 5 megapixels sensors.
Galaxy Grand 3 seems to have a pre-installed Android 4.4.4. The gadget will definitely be out of any performance tops, but for the market segment it is designed it might stand out, especially because of the large display it possesses.
All in all , the Galaxy Grand models do not seem to be very successful in the Western market but rather on the Asian one, where they come in dual-SIM versions as well.
Now that we know all the details about this phablet the only thing that remains is to wait for an official announcement and for some photos of the new device.
