Amazon has released the new Fire HD 10 tablet. We will take a look of some of the newer features in this post. First of all Amazon has reduced the price to about $150. They have also doubled the storage capacity with their new 10 inch tablet.
The new Fire HD 10 Tablet is more media-focused. It’s an Android device that includes hands-free Alexa. A faster processor, better screen display and longer battery life are all notable upgrades to this version. It comes with a 10.1-inch, 1080p display. This makes it the first Amazon tablet to have a display that impressive since the Fire HDX tablet in 2013.
Eric Saarnio is the head of Amazon devices in the EU. He recently said: “We’ve really worked hard to deliver a tablet from the ground up that’s perfect for entertainment.” The new Fire HD 10 tablet is significantly improved. It runs on a quad-core processor.
The battery life has improved by 25% from 8 to 10 hours. It has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support. It also has 32GB of storage in the basic model, up from 16GB for the previous edition. It has a micro-SD card slot which allows you to expand storage by up to 256GB. A 64GB model is also available.
A great new feature in the operating system is the hands-free Alexa. This allows you to turn on and off using a control panel. When it’s on the hands-free Alexa makes the tablet work just like any other Echo controlled device. It can turn lights off, start movies, set timers, and do many other things.
Amazon is hoping to undercut Apple and the other tablet manufacturers. They are challenging some by up to 50% off their price. This is for a tablet that offers the user quite a bit for the $$$. This allows Amazon to be one of the very few companies to increase tablet sales.
