Logitech has launched G910 Orion Spark RGB Mechanical Keyboard, which holds exclusive new Romer-G mechanical switches that offer up to 25% faster reaction in comparison to any other mechanical switch model, as well as prolonged durability and smart lighting.
This keyboard is the result of “years of ongoing development by our engineering team, incorporating feedback from gamers and eSports athletes”, which helped creating „a next-generation mechanical key” that „truly improves the gaming experience” said Vincent Tucker, director of Logitech gaming. „Our team had the task of developing a keyboard which notably enhances the gaming experience and Logitech Orion Spark rises to the challenge.”
Orion Spark has exclusive new Romer-G switches, components which cannot be found in any other keyboard. Including a 1.5 mm actuation point, Romer-G switches process the commads up to 25% faster than other mechanical switches on the market. Their durability is improved to 70 million keystrokes.
Lighting is available for every single key, so Orion Spark can be individually customised; users have a range of 16.8 million colours. They can assign their favourite colour to keys in order to have quick access to different commands or they can set specific lighting to every game they play. Light is centred inside every switch and is controlled by precise optics, which ensures that the letter on every single key is equally bright compares to the rest.
Arx Control is a new application developed by Logitech G which runs with Logitech Gaming Software and which offers a multitude of info on the mobile gadget: details about in-game intelligence, information about system performance or about media commands.
Using Arx Control, SDK game developers can create customised applets to offer unique content to their game. Major developers such as Valve have already advanced models and are looking for ways to integrate them to Steam (gaming platform) as well as to their most popular games.
Orion Spark has a special dock which supports iOS and Android devices, thus offering easy access to Arx Control info. Furthermore the users can customise their favourite game by assigning gaming commands and macros to the nine G softkeys, which ensure easy fast access to complex commands.
Orion Spark supports up to 27 commands on its three profiles and setting them is aided by Logitech Gaming Software. Logitech Orion Spark keyboard will be available in Europe starting November 2014 at a recommended price of 179.99 Euros.
