According to sources close to the South Korean company, Samsung is preparing to launch a new high-end smartphone designed to rival with the future Apple‘s most wanted iPhone 6 which is ready for release in September.
The unveiled name is Galaxy Alpha and the new smartphone would be presented in August so that at the time of the iPhone6 launching it would be already present in stocks of stores worldwide.
Appearing after another alleged prototype phone – Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime and Galaxy F – the new Galaxy Alpha could actually be the same device launched under another name.
Set up to be a well-equipped version of the Galaxy S5 launched in April, Galaxy Alpha seems to be a hybrid between the S5 and the Galaxy Note 3 phablet.
According to gadget review magazines, Alpha Galaxy will have all the high-end abilities rumored up to be found on Galaxy S5 Prime and Galaxy F: metal case, a 16Mp camera with optical stabilization, some 3GB of RAM memory, the 805 Snapdragon chipset and an AMOLED QHD (2560×1440 pixels) 5.2 " screen.
This information still remains at a stage of rumors and speculations and there is no concrete info on this, both Samsung and Apple managed to keep most of the details secret. The fact is that the Apple vs Samsung battle for supremacy on the high-end smartphone market is about to enter a new phase, both companies will launch terminals with a screen over 5 " and luxury versions of these smartphones.
