The brand new Apple iPhone 8 Plus has been released after Apple’s big September 12th announcement. We will take a closer look at the smartphone in this posting. The iPhone 8 Plus has a 5.5 inch display screen with a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920. The camera is upgraded to 12 megapixels with the front at 7 megapixels.
As does the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus has familiar details. It has water resistance and built-in stereo speakers. The old metal housing has been changed to a glass which allows wireless charging. The Apple iPhone 8 Plus has a faster Apple A11 Bionic system chip which is the same chip in the iPhone 10. It also has a display supporting Apple’s True Tone display technology.
It has a dual camera at the back which shoots 4K video at up to 60fps. It can take portrait shots with studio lighting effects. Optical image stabilization to the 2X zoom Telephoto camera is new technology and should produce clearer images and portraits. The operating system is iOS 11 runs.
The Apple iPhone 8 Plus introduces augmented reality applications, a redesigned App Store, a new Control Center layout, and a number of UI changes. Wireless charging is also a new feature of this smartphone. You probably won’t notice a huge difference from the iPhone 7 series while using basic iPhone 8 Plus options.
There are not a lot of apps currently designed for the iOS 11 operating system, but if you do use one of them you will see an impressive speed performance. The iOS 11 is a nice upgrade with bigger icons and a better app store. The new control center is likely to be viewed as a lot simpler than prior versions.
